Consider Spiritual Direction
Spiritual direction is a time-tested, classic way to grow in your own spirituality and faith tradition. Meet with a spiritual director for about one hour per month for confidential spiritual conversation. Spiritual directors are not “bosses” — they are companions for the spiritual journey, spiritual midwives/coaches, or a type of soul friends. The real “director” is the Holy Spirit or divine presence in your life.
Julie McCarty is a spiritual director with formal training in spiritual direction, theology, spirituality, and many years of working with various spiritual directors on her own spiritual life. She lives in Eagan, Minnesota (a suburb of St. Paul and Minneapolis). First session is free. After that, the free will donation of $40-$60 per session is requested for her time–but special arrangements can be made in case of financial need. Please do not let financial strain keep you away from this classic spiritual practice.
